General Admission
Candidates may apply at any time after completion of their junior =
year in=20
high school, but should apply no later than February 1st of =
their=20
senior year for admission for the September following graduation. A =
limited=20
number of applicants apply to start Yeshiva University directly after =
their=20
junior year of high school in our Early=20
Admission Program.
Qualifications for admission included the high school scholastic =
record, SAT=20
I (and SAT II=E2=80=99s if available) or ACT scores (and results of =
statewide tests such=20
as the New York Sate Regents Examinations), essay and interview. The =
applicant=E2=80=99s=20
character, personality and contribution to school and community life are =
also=20
factors in the admission decision.
Application Details. In order for any =
application=20
to considered complete for Admissions Committe Review, the Office of =
Admissions=20
must receive the following items:
- Completed application
- Essay
- $65 application fee
- Official SAT or ACT scores
- Official high school transcript
- Record of an interview with a YU Admissions officer. (Applicants =

Deadlines & Dates. Applications for the =
fall=20
semester are processed in three stages:
- Applicants whose applications are complete by October 24,=20
2008 will be informed of a decision by December 15, 2008.
- Applicants whose applications are complete by December 15, 2008 =
will be=20
informed of a decision by February 16, 2009.
- Applicants whose applications are complete by February 2, 2009 =
will be=20
informed of a decision by April 1, 2009.
Applications for the spring 2009 semester must be complete by =
November 14,=20
2008. Decision letters for the spring 2009 semester will be mailed =
in=20
Mid-December.
All applicants who require financial assistance should complete the =
Free=20
Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ by March =
2,=20
2009.
The deposit deadline for admitted students is May 1, =
2009
